Today: The Inauguration of the 15th President Of The Philippines

We all have doubts. We always will. We have now a new President voted being the less evil and being anti-Gloria.

For me, it felt like the country is waiting for the worst thing to happen. Like something is simmering. It could just be my paranoid self.

I guess it’s a big responsibility not to dishonor the name “Aquino” and your parents. Unless of course if you are Kris. It’s pure entertainment.

No. No one died. And it’s just because.

I may have forgotten to say to my friends how I really appreciate them. There are times when I know I’m such a shitty person but they still put up with it. There are times when they could just easily turn their backs on me but still offer a few glances here and there. What can I say? They just could not be without this crazy, beautiful me. Hahahahaha.

So, I’m sending them some free “carina” stuff. I could not find a manly design for this guy but…hope he will still like it. [Read more…]

Delecta Diner and Cafe

I have wonderful memories growing up eating in this restaurant with my sister and grandmother. When Jollibee franchise opened right across the street, the restaurant could not handle the competition. After a few years, after Jollibee lost its hype, Delecta reopened with a new design and better menu.

This the Green Salad with Mixed Fruits and Nuts for Php 105.00.
This is the Pancit Palabok. I have always loved their Palabok ever since I was a kid.
This for Php 80.00 only. This can be shared depending on your appetite.
We also had the Special Halo-halo for Php 75.00. You also have to try their Fruit Coolers for Php 105.00. Very affordable! I miss this kind of pricing when I am in Cebu. Good eats does not have to be expensive.

I have only been in the Diner twice when this reopened. They never fail in taste, price and serving every time we come here. I would suggest though that they work on their interior design. I love the old Delecta warm, cozy and private ambiance.

Delecta Diner and Cafe is located in Gen. Aguinaldo Street in front of Jollibee corner Roxas Avenue. You won’t miss the yellow sign outside their building.

Breakfast at Tiffany’s

I actually thought the movie is going to end up in front of the Tiffany & Co. store with both lead actors having breakfast. It was just how in the start of the movie, Holly played by Aubrey Hepburn getting off a taxi early morning with bagel and coffee. She was eating her breakfast while admiring the store window.

My favorite line would be towards the last when Paul/Fred got off the taxi and Holly was intent in flying to Brazil.

You know what’s wrong with you, Miss whoever-you-are?  You’re chicken.  You’ve got no guts.  You’re afraid to stick out your chin and say, ‘Okay.  Life’s a fact.  People do fall in love.  People do belong to each other.’  Because that’s the only chance anybody’s got for real happiness.  You call yourself a free spirit, a wild thing, and you’re terrified somebody’s gonna stick you in a cage.  Well Baby, you’re already in that cage — you built it yourself.  And it’s not bounded on the west by Tulip, Texas or on the east by Somaliland.  It’s wherever you go.  Because no matter where you run, you just end up running into yourself.

This Month of June

My goals for this month includes :

1. Enroll in LET Review Center – My review classes will start June 13 this Sunday at Sto. Review Center. I don’t mind the charge of Php 6,000.00 since the review already includes Prof Ed review, major review and final coaching. There are some review centers that cost less only that I did not go and register on time. So, if you are in need of a LET review center call Sto. Nino Review Center at 032-255-3946.
2. Enroll in Most Institute. I want to get my Certificate in Culinary Arts. This will have to be thought of real hard. It’s really expensive going to this school for 6 months duration. You will need about Php 46,000 for this Certification. I would love to learn how to cook.  [Read more…]

Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico

I’ve been keeping a Tumblr account for a little while now and I noticed the wall color has changed from dark blue to black. This is to help spread the word at the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. Think about the life in the water and the fishermen. Think about how long it is going to take to clean the waters. Help spread the word. Turn black or dark.
Imagine this with the oil spill!
