Netflix is now in the Philippines

Does Netflix work in the Philippines? Yes.

For those of you who don’t know, Netflix is a US provider of on-demand Internet streaming media, a subscription-based film and television program rental service that offers media to subscribers via Internet streaming.

Globe Broadband is offering Netflix to subscribers with its home broadband plans. Customers on a Globe Home Broadband Plan 1299 and up can access Netflix. Members can watch as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, on nearly any Internet-connected screen without commercials or commitments. Netflix is available for Android- and iOS-powered mobile devices using mobile data or Wi-Fi connection.

While PLDT HOME Fibr, DSL, Ultera, and Smart Communications Inc. subscribers can access Netflix,  it is best experienced with the powerful connection of PLDT HOME Fibr which now delivers speeds of up to 1Gbps and with plans of P1,899 per month, including free TVolution sticks.

With Netflix, Philippines can now watch TV shows & movies anytime, anywhere. Subscription plans start from PHP370 a month. There is a free month trial.

Smart Bro Plan 799 subscribers can connect their free 4G pocket wifi to up to ten devices with 4.5 Gb monthly data allocation while prepaid kits are available for P1, 495 which comes with 350 mb data allocation for per month for three months. 

Customers can choose from three Netflix plans starting at P370 per month for the Basic Plan. Users automatically get one free month after sign-up. Subscribers of Standard (P460/month) and Premium (P550/month) Plans get additional viewing screens and HD and Ultra HD viewing options.

Smart postpaid customers can also subscribe to Netflix on their iOS devices with their Pay-with-Mobile service without having to use a credit card.


Finder.com released a list of Netflix US titles available on Netflix Philippines. This allows prospective Philippine Netflix users to gauge the value of signing up for Netflix in the country. Rappler reports that 93% of US titles are not yet available on Netflix Philippines.
