July 2013 Beauty Makeup Bag

I don’t have a lot of makeup but I do try to change what’s inside my beauty bag. This way, I do get to use what’s already in my makeup collection. Updating my beauty makeup bag is easy. I don’t wear makeup that often is the problem. Now that is a different story altogether. Let’s take a peak of what’s inside!

For The Face

For The Face: I don’t like to use foundation on an everyday basis. I’m also giving BB creams a rest. I have Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 Lightweight Flawless Coverage. This is the first time I am using this product because I find them expensive and hard to get a hold off from where I am. I apply MAC Studio Fix and I am in NC40. I like a matte look to my face because it can get really oily for the later part of the day. I also keep a concealer in the bag even though I don’t use it quite often. My concern is really my under eye circles and those tiny pigmentation after a zit dies down. I use the MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer in NC30. Then, I don’t have to worry if my blush breaks while in the bag. What I have is a fairly inexpensive but pigmented blush powder from Maybelline Cheeky Glow in Peachy Sweetie. Naturally, I keep a blush and powder brush at the same time. The only brush I have that fits my bag is the Etude Powder Brush. I like that it has a protective guard. It will avoid the bristles from deforming when it’s inside the bag with the other products.

For The Lips

For The Lips: I confess I have acquired a lot of lipstick for someone who does not wear makeup a lot. I keep a few lipstick and one lipgloss in the bag just in case I want to whip up the sassy Audrey in any day. Inside the beauty makeup bag, I have a MAC Amplified Lipstick in Chatterbox. This is my very first lipstick from MAC so I’m very sentimental with this tube. It is also my most used pink lipstick. I keep my favorite lipstick from last month which is the Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipstick in Blushing Creme. This is a perfect everyday lip colour. It does not have an “in your face” lip color which I like. Lastly, in order to get these lip colours muted down a bit more, I apply the Chanel Rouge Allure Lipgloss in Insouciance. I got this gloss at the time where Kim Kardashian made waves with the beige and barely there lip color look.

For The Eyes

For The Eyes: I keep tweezers in my bag. It’s not that I like tweezing them now when I am trying to get them to grow thicker. In case there are obvious stray one’s then it’s good that I am prepared. LOL! I have the MAC Eyelash Curler in the bag. I believe girls should never do without one. It is my must-have beauty or makeup tool. Next, I am still using the Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara. This was favorite from last month. I am want to use it fast before it dries up on me. I only got my hands on the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24Hr Eyeshadow in Bad To The Bronze last May. Cream shadows make makeup application fast and easy. And, I am all for that! I’m not really fussy with the brows. In the past, having them trim professionally is enough for me. It is still is. But there are times when having a well-defined brows is needed. I keep the Revlon Brow Fantasy in Dark Brown. It’s two-sided product. The one end is a pencil and the other is a gel. You can never go wrong with Revlon. My Mama swears by it and I do, too. Lastly, I keep Sephora Brow Comb in the bag. When days I feel lazy, I just brish my brows into place and I’m done!

Random Items: I keep a statement ring. It was originally from my sister that I now keep. I also keep a chain with few charms bracelet in the bag. This bracelet has value to me. I decided to make this bracelet while I was living in Singapore. I vow to collect charms that represent the country I have been living in. I am still looking for a charm that represents my home country, Philippines. I am still looking for a Jeepney charm. If you know where I can my hands on one, let me know in the comments below.
